Behold: The Force is strong with these cats of ‘Star Wars’
We all know and love people who resemble their pets (in a great way, of course) and it turns out that Star Wars characters are no different!
Now, we’d like to introduce you all to Griz and Norm Lemay, a lovely couple who double as Disney animators. Norm is a storyboard artist, Griz is a visual development artist and character designer, and together they sound like the main characters in a rom-com we’d love to see on the big screen.
Once they purchased their tickets for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the talented duo decided to channel their excitement in an artistic fashion. Namely, they created a glorious series of illustrations depicting Star Wars characters…
…with adorable feline friends! Even the droids got their own kitty companions!
There’s Padmé Amidala and her black cat, who both look like they’re ready to lead an army:
To compliment her voluminous hair buns and stark white robe, Princess Leia picked the purrfect fluffy friend:
And who would Rey be without her trusty Bengal who’s able to withstand life on a harsh desert planet?
Robots need love, too, okay?
BB-8 is clearly the crazy cat lady of the bunch:
If this Star Wars/cat mashup one day becomes an animated film, we’d be first in line for tickets.
