Cate Blanchett is playing about 12 different people in the trailer for “Manifesto” and it’s still not enough

In case you were wondering, Cate Blanchett can do just about anything. In fact, Blanchett is playing about 12 different people in the trailer for Manifesto, and we’re very impressed.

Manifesto was originally an art installation that began at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.

It then toured at museums all over the world including, Berlin and New York City. It is now on its way to Sundance Film Festival, but as a movie.

In the art installation, Blanchett took on 13 different personas and delivered famous monologues by authors such as Karl Marx and Lars von Trier. In the movie, she manages to channel all of those personas in only 90 minutes and from the looks of it, she nails it.

On Thursday, Yahoo! Movies debuted the first trailer from Julian Rosefeldt’s installation adaptation and Blanchett is flawless throughout the whole thing.

The teaser shows the British actress as a school teacher, homeless person, punk rocker and puppeteer for starters, complete with a creepy matching puppet.

"Nothing is original," the whiteboard reads as Blanchett becomes a teacher. "So you can steal from anywhere."

She then goes into one monologue after another, and each one is more powerful than the previous speech.

We also see her as a TV newscaster, saying, “all current art is fake” as she rocks red locks.

The words, “Art requires truth, not sincerity,” then scroll across the screen. These words are SO bold and true and really leave us wanting more from the star.

The trailer ends with Blanchett’s killer rocker persona and now we want to see the film even more. In fact, for those who were unable to see the exhibit in person, this movie is the perfect solution.

Manifesto will premiere at Sundance on January 23rd, and we can’t wait.
