What the cast of “The Blair Witch Project” look like now
When The Blair Witch Project first screened for curious audiences at the Sundance Film Festival in 1999, people basically had no idea WTF they were seeing (and there was still the question of if the movie was ~real~ or not).
The landmark “found footage” film, (for better or worse) pretty much started a wave of viral marketing campaign trends in horror films and very famously became one of the most financially successful films of all time, too. NBD, right?!
Here are some “found” video cassette tapes that were used for marketing/advertising in local movie theatres.
So, if you can put yourself in this 1999 mindset, you can appreciate how truly creepy this film was waaaay back then. (Because, SPOILER ALERT: it’s arguably, not really that “scary.”)
It’s been over 17 years since The Blair Witch Project became the phenomenon we remember it as today, and with a sequel set to hit theaters next month, we decided to take a look the stars then vs. now.

Joshua Leonard now.
Joshua successfully parlayed his part in Blair Witch into a successful acting career having most recently appeared in shows like Togetherness and Bates Motel among many other film and TV projects.
He’s also married to Alison Pill, star of films like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Milk.

Michael Williams now.
Michael has kept a relatively low profile since the Blair Witch days having dabbled in a handful of other film and TV projects (including an appearance on the TV show Without a Trace).
And he occasionally pops up on other people’s social media accounts.

The cast of The Blair Witch Project may have have changed a lot since 1999, but it doesn’t stop them (AND US) from appreciating the magic that was every once in a while.
