Carrie Underwood looks like a glittery pink swan at the 2017 ACM Awards
Oh Carrie Underwood, you never cease to be a ~total~ breath of fresh air. The bombshell country songstress made waves at the 2017 ACM Awards red carpet last night, slipping into a truly divine gown for the occasion. There was super sheer fabric. There were sparkles. There was a crystal-clad choker attachment. There were palm fronds. Oh la la!
While this LaBourjoisie confection undoubtedly packed in quite a few details, it made for a simply awe-inspiring look on Carrie. Look closely, and you’ll see the sheer tulle gown features parallel palm frond details, picking up on the imminent desert vibes ahead of this year’s Coachella. However, this gown wasn’t the typical bohemian style that usually accompanies palm trees and succulents. Nope, it was drop-dead glamorous through and through.
Given the whoa-worthy nature of the look, it just wouldn’t have been complete without a few added sparklers. Which is exactly why Carrie’s stylists, Marina Toybina and Courtney Webb, slathered on a few diamond duds on the 34-year-old, from her blinding Hearts on Fire and Djula rings to her shimmering Harry Kotlar earrings.
With her classic makeup and shoulder-length tresses curled back into loose waves (contrary to the country music equals big hair hypothesis), the look was a high-octane take on old Hollywood glamour.
But what’d you expect, here? This is the Carrie Underwood, and her red carpet mantra has always been to go glam or go home!
