Carrie Fisher’s beloved dog Gary is with her at the hospital, and we think that’s so sweet

We’re still reeling from the news that Carrie Fisher was hospitalized yesterday afternoon from what appeared to be a heart attack while flying from London to Los Angeles. We’ve since heard that she’s in stable condition, which has made us breathe a huge sigh of relief.

And this morning, we even heard that Fisher’s dog, Gary, is with her at the hospital.

This might not seem like the *biggest* deal, but big Carrie Fisher fans will know that her dog Gary means SO much to her. He accompanied the actress on the entire Force Awakens press tour and he is technically a therapy dog there to ease her anxiety.

In an interview with the Herald Tribune, Fisher once said,

"Gary is mental also. My mother says Gary is a hooligan. Gary is like my heart. Gary is very devoted to me and that calms me down. He’s anxious when he’s away from me."

According to TMZ, Gary was reportedly on the flight with Fisher when she suffered her medical emergency, so we’re sure he’s relieved to be reunited with his owner after such a stressful ordeal.

We don’t have too much news on Fisher’s condition (other than that it went from critical to stable and that she is currently in the ICU), but we’re hoping and praying that she continues to improve throughout the day. And we’re incredibly glad that her trusty companion Gary is by her side, hopefully making everything just a little more bearable.

All our love goes out to Fisher and her family today. We love you so much, Carrie!
