Carrie Fisher just posted a hilarious callback to her famous ‘Star Wars’ scene
One thing you’re not going to see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is any sort of gold bikini. That look is like, so 1983, and besides, Carrie Fisher has made it known that she’s never, ever, going to team up with that outfit ever again. That’s what makes one of her latest Twitter pictures so funny.
If possible, we’d keep Fisher on the press tour circuit all year long, because everything she says and does is pure magic. Now add in her adorable partner in crime, Gary Fisher the Dog, and you’ve got a recipe for some of the best best off-screen Star Wars moments. The latest trouble the two found themselves in was coming face-to-face with Jabba the Hutt, who Princess Leia once killed with her bare hands (the Force is strong in her family, you know).
Since, you never pass up the opportunity to pose with a former foe, Fisher (and Gary) hopped up alongside this giant, and kinda terrifying, wax replica of one of the galaxy’s most feared gangsters. But there’s no happy, smiling pose here. Nope, Fisher makes her feelings for Jabba known loud and clear with one finger. Don’t cross the former-Princess-now-General Leia.
And, because it’s almost Christmas, Jabba is wearing a Santa hat, of course. So Merry Christmas from Jabba Clause (Fisher’s nickname, not ours), our favorite returning Star Wars heroine, and Gary.
If this doesn’t scream “Christmas Card” I don’t know what does.
