When we first met Toni, Candace, and the rest of the on-point, offbeat characters living in the Portlandia universe, it was 2011. But Carrie and Fred had already been collaborating for six years.
Brownstein and Armisen first brought their comedic power duo to the internet in 2005 as ThunderAnt — originating many of the most worshiped Portlandia characters.

Carrie and Fred truly discovered an amazing partnership back in 2005, and we can’t wait to see more of their genius this January!
