Yes! “Carpool Karaoke” is becoming its own TV show
Whenever The Late Late Show has a segment of Carpool Karaoke, we get super excited. Watching James Corden drive around singing and joking with celebs like Adele, Sia and Justin Bieber is something we could watch for hours—and now we’re getting even more of it. Billboard reports that James and producer Ben Winston are turning the popular segment into its own TV show.
You hear that? It’s the sound of music-lovers everywhere rejoicing. The show will have the same basic structure as the late-night segment: a host will drive around with a celebrity, singing songs and getting into ridiculous hijinks. There is some slightly disappointing news, and that’s that James won’t be the host of the show. We guess this makes sense, since he’s so busy hosting another awesome show. We can only hope he is going to make some appearances.
The search is on for someone permanent to take his seat in the car, as well as a network to give the new Carpool Karaoke show the love it deserves. We can’t wait!
