A two-day brawl broke out on a Carnival cruise ship, and it sounds like a nightmare
A 10-day Carnival cruise in the South Pacific had to dock early due to violent behavior from passengers on the ship. A two-day brawl involving at least 23 people broke out on the cruise, and it sounds like it was an absolute nightmare.
It’s not clear when exactly the fighting started or what prompted it, and officials have not released any concrete information on the cause. There are cellphone videos that show passengers physically fighting, security guards getting in the middle of things, and onlookers screaming. There are also videos that show security guards kicking passengers who were on the floor.
Some passengers say that the group was acting aggressive as soon as the cruise began its 10-day journey. Passenger Kellie Peterson told radio station 3AW, “They were looking for trouble from the minute they got on the ship.” She said she noticed many people “walking around with cut heads and hands and bandages everywhere.”
Peterson also said that she and her husband tried to move their three children away from the swimming pool when the group was around, saying, “Five of them surrounded my husband. And unfortunately my children witnessed it and they’re scared. We’ve been told to watch our backs by this group. We’re scared to go anywhere on the ship.”

Passenger Jarrah Boliltho said, "They (members of the group) were roaming the decks just looking to pick on any Aussie they could find."
As if that doesn’t sound scary enough, passenger Cindy Buglisi told the Seven network that the situation was “horrifying, like people screaming, running around, throwing glasses, everything – like nightmare.” Yikes.
In one statement, police said that several men were fighting early in the morning on Friday, February 16th. Police said, “About 1:30 p.m., six men and three teenage boys were removed from the ship at Twofold Bay, Eden. A further 14 passengers, including women and children, also left the ship. The group were transported to Canberra where other travel arrangements were made.” false
As of right now, no charges or arrests have been made. Other passengers are, however, understandably upset that their vacation was ruined. According to CNN, some told Seven Network that they wanted full refunds from Carnival. The cruise line offered a 25 percent discount for future cruises.
