Cards Against Humanity is hiring new card writers for $40 an hour, so get your passive-aggressive Post-it notes ready
Never feel like your dirty jokes get enough appreciation? Well, you can tell them for a living now—and help improve a game that you probably already love. Cards Against Humanity is hiring people to write new cards for the game, and the company is actually paying really well. Um, we’re thinking it might be time for a career change.
According to a listing on the Cards Against Humanity website, the brand is currently looking for people to write both white and black cards…and you can make up to $40 an hour. Best of all, writers work remotely, which means this job is open to all creative and hilarious people no matter where you live, and you get to work from home. Sounds like a winning situation, right?
“Great news! Cards Against Humanity is looking for new writers. If your cards are solid, you’ll join our pool of remote contributors and make $40/hr writing poop jokes as needed—which is ‘sometimes,’” the announcement said.
So what do you have to do to apply? Just send in 15 of your best white cards (funny answer cards) and 15 of your best black cards (those are the question cards), which is basically a trial run for the job you’d be doing if you were hired, by August 31st.
The posting also encouraged people of color, LGBTQ people, and immigrants to apply, which is awesome. Oh, and Cards Against Humanity is looking for “hot single dads.” Aren’t we all?
If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry—the site also offered up tips for writing the cards, so really, if you’ve got what it takes and can follow the format, this job might be perfect for you. Cards Against Humanity is a fun game and a really cool company, so what do you have to lose? You know, besides your parents’ respect when they find out what your new job entails.
If you’re going to apply, good luck! Now go and create the cards we’ve all been waiting for.
