Cardi B is pregnant and glowing like the sun in her colorful new video for “I Like It”
Cardi B just dropped her new music video for “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin, from her debut album Invasion of Privacy, and it’s the Latin-influenced track you’re going to play on repeat all summer. The reigning princess of hip-hop turned out a lively, colorful video, and the lyrics are very on-brand for Cardi: She honors her body (“They call me Cardi Bardi, banging body/Spicy mami, hot tamale/Hotter than a Somali, fur coat, Ferrari”) and brags about her success (“I like those Balenciagas, the ones that look like socks/I like going to the jeweler, I put rocks all in my watch”), but our favorite part of the video is that she’s noticeably pregnant and clearly thriving.
“I Like It” is the latest in a seemingly constant flow of videos from the rapper. First, there was “Bartier Cardi,” then “Be Careful,” and most recently, her collaboration with Jennifer Lopez and DJ Khaled on “Dinero.” But in this new video, it’s all about Cardi, her gorgeous outfits, and her growing baby bump.
“J Balvin and Bad Bunny DONT know how deeply i appreciate the fact they got on my record and did the music video .Makes me emotional,” Cardi tweeted after the video’s debut. Throughout her pregnancy, she’s been tweeting quite a bit about how emotional she is now.

Even though Cardi shares the track with two other artists, she lights this video up like a ray of sunshine.

Cardi B first announced her pregnancy on Saturday Night Live on April 7th, 2018 and UsWeekly.com reported that the rapper is due in July. Cardi announced in April that she was done performing to focus on her pregnancy, and thankfully we have this fantastic and constant lineup of music videos to tide us over in the meantime.
