Cardi B breastfeeding in her new “Money” music video is a big 2019 mood
Cardi B just dropped the music video for her single “Money,” and it gave us all fierce energy we’ll need for 2019. In the video, set against the backdrop of an ornate chateau and bank, the songstress recalls her “Bodak Yellow” past as pole dancers perform acrobatic feats. And, as if this weren’t all badass enough, Cardi is seen breastfeeding in multiple stills. Big Dick Energy? We don’t know her. Let’s rework the infamous phrase as Big Cardi Energy, okurr.

These moments in the video are, of course, an ode to her daughter Kulture, whom she welcomed in July with then-partner Offset. The two rappers tied the knot in September 2017, but Cardi announced their split in a December 4th Instagram video, saying, “I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce, and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
Throughout the video, Cardi is seen in various immaculate outfits, such as a black and white dress with a dramatic collar and a regal gold frock. In one particularly bedazzled outfit and headdress, Cardi evokes Lil’ Kim realness circa the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards.
Cardi even took to Instagram following the video’s release to share her photo inspo of Lil’ Kim, writing: “Walking pass the mirror whew! Damn she fine!”
