Cara Delevingne explains why she left modeling for good
Landing the cover of Vogue is a big deal for a model, but an even bigger deal from model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne, whose recent Vogue cover signals her switch from the runway to Hollywood.
You’ve probably heard Cara’s name a lot recently. She’s set to star in no less than seven upcoming films, and is playing the infamous Margo Roth Spiegelman in next month’s adaptation of Paper Towns. With all this acting success, it’s easy to forget that she got her start as a model, and that’s something that Cara is still adjusting to:
But that doesn’t mean the bubble was a good place to be. Cara tells Vogue all about the rocky roads of starting out in the business:
She has her share of horror stories, like when an employee at Burberry told her to “go away” on sight, plus all the countless interactions with “pervy” photographers. All this stress had to come out somewhere, and Cara began fainting on set and developed a skin condition called psoriasis.
Now, she’s free.
