Cara Delevingne made a tweed ensemble edgy with the help of a lil’ leather

Cara Delevingne is flaunting a new platinum blonde bob, a new movie, and a new spring trend. In light of the season, the actress has seemingly gone through a rebirth and we’re loving everything about it. Specifically, Delevingne’s latest spring style combines leather and tweed, two contrasting fabrics that come together to create something wonderful.

Delevingne showed off her Alexandre Vauthier tweed and leather ensemble at the Los Angeles trailer viewing of her new film, Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets. The outfit consists of a dark tweed dress with leather trim and accent detailing, with a matching cropped jacket.

The designer posted a photo on his Instagram of Delevingne in his creation. We think she looks like the perfect mash-up of a punk rocker and someone who’s celebrating Easter Sunday with their fam.

Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, and Calvin Klein have also morphed tweed and leather together into cohesive pieces. This Calvin Klein faux-leather and tweed moto jacket ($66.99) definitely runs in the same vein as Delevingne’s Alexandre Vauthier creation.

If you have an existing tweed dress of any color, try wearing a simple leather jacket over it. You could even pair the tweed dress with a chunky leather belt.

And of course, wearing patent leather pumps with any outfit will add edge and badass personality to your overall look. Platinum hair never hurts either…

And the great thing about tweed and leather is that they are both super trendy during the fall season as well. So once you buy or DIY your own combination of the two, keep it around for September. You’ll be just as fashionable then as you are now!
