Cara Delevingne just said some beautiful things about being a good friend (and a good role model)
Cara Delevingne has gone from fashion model to role model with her wise words about friendship. While her life may seem picture-perfect now (literally) she grew up under not-so-great circumstances. She and both her sisters, Poppy and Chloe, had a strained relationship with their mother, who was in and out of rehab for most of their childhood. However, this experience has only served to ground Cara, and it’s what’s made her so admirable today.
Relationships, both with her friends and singer Annie Clark, have been the things in her life that kept her together. Because of this, she has some great perspective. She states in Mirror:

Being such an icon with an awesome posse could inflate anyone’s head, but Cara admits that she’s still extremely blown away by her own life. “The first time I ever went on stage I fell in love,” she says. “So yeah, the fact I’m able to do this now is really the biggest, best thing in the world.”
And being able to watch her do it is even better.
