You can officially watch the first 60 seconds of the new ‘X-Files’
I don’t mean to be melodramatic, but January is absolutely torturous. On top of being freezing cold and the end of the holiday season, we’re also yanked around by our favorite TV series, as show after show promise to return, but none of them have been released yet.
From Twin Peaks to Full House to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, it just feels like we’re here… waiting. But we have GOOD news. One of the most highly anticipated TV comebacks has posted a video to keep us going. www.DoYouStillBelieve.com has a one minute long preview of the upcoming miniseries reboot of The X-Files. We can’t embed it, so you’re just going to have to go check it out for yourself. It is dense. It is amazing. The clip has a few spoilers from the last series though, so make sure you are caught up before diving in. However, no new information is revealed.
The website has a couple of other cool features too. First of all, it’s amazingly designed and genuinely gives me goosebumps, reminding me of the scariest moments of The X-Files. But you also have the option to make an X-Files-themed Instagram to show you still believe. Fans have been posting their selfies all over Instagram, complete with a blue-green filter, and at the bottom of the photo, “I Still Want to Believe.”
Don’t forget (you wouldn’t, it’s silly that we’re even reminding you) — The X-Files has its two hour premiere on the 24th of January on Fox, with the second episode airing the night after, Monday the 25th. We’ll be re-watching our fave episodes on Netflix until then.
