Camila Cabello wrote the sweetest tweet to her younger self celebrating her VMAs win, and it’s so relatable
During the MTV Video Music Awards on August 20th, Camila Cabello got to live out her teenage dream. The “Havana” singer and former member of Fifth Harmony went home with both the Artist of the Year and Video of the Year awards, and proved to her younger self that anything is possible.
Cabello celebrated her big night by responding to a tweet she’d sent way back in 2012: “#VMA2012 I wanna be there SOOOOOOO bad you dont understand #someday.” If only she knew what her future had in store.
In her follow-up tweet after her VMAs wins, Cabello wrote, “YOURE NOT GONNA BELIEVE THIS SMOL CAMILA BUT: IN 2018 MADONNA IS GOING TO GIVE YOU AN AWARD FOR VIDEO OF THE YEAR AND YOUR ACNE WILL CLEAR.”
Smol Camila (“smol” here meaning cute and little) would be so proud.
Back in 2012, Cabello appeared on the second season of The X Factor. Judge and record producer Simon Cowell put her into the girl group Fifth Harmony along with fellow singers Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui. Cabello went solo in December 2016.

Basically, the Cuban American singer is doing big things, and we’d all better stay alert.
