Calvin Klein is under major fire for their newest upskirt ad

If you’ve ever passed by a Calvin Klein billboard, then you’ve probably noticed they’re not exactly the tamest of advertisements. They typically feature a lot of skin and not a lot of fabric. However, the brand’s latest campaign is turning even more heads than normal – and not in a good way.

On Tuesday, Calvin Klein took to Instagram to share an ad featuring 22-year-old model Klara Kristen. The camera angle captured an upskirt shot of the woman, revealing the polka-dotted Calvins she was wearing underneath her dress. Keeping with their “I _____ in #mycalvins” catchphrase, they had Klara fill in the blank and she went with: “I flash in #mycalvins.

On Instagram, the company captioned the photo: “Take a peek.

In light of the fact that this photo resembles a shot taken by deviant individual who didn’t ask for permission to point their camera up someone’s skirt, many are upset. To make matters even more controversial, this ad was released only one month after Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. announced that there had been an increase in photos and videos being taken from underneath women’s skirts. false false false

Plus, this isn’t the first time Calvin Klein has received backlash for one of their ads. Earlier this year, a campaign starring Klara Kristen and rapper Fetty Wap was released. The rapper’s caption read: “I make money in #mycalvins.” As for Kristen’s, it stated: “I seduce in #mycalvins.” A petition was then started for the sexist ad to be taken down.

However, others are standing up for the brand, explaining that Calvin Klein did not do anything wrong. The brand is simply doing its job.

A peek up actress Klara Kristin’s skirt to glimpse her CK panties is not kiddie porn — it’s sexy and sex sells. And Klara isn’t 15,” Peter Davis (the Editor-at-large of Paper Magazine) told Fox News. “No one knows how to sell underwear and fragrances and clothing by promoting scandalous sex better than Calvin Klein.”

What do you think? Did Calvin Klein take it too far this time? Have they been taking it too far all along?
