Calvin Harris was hospitalized following a car crash Friday night

On his way to the Los Angeles airport late Friday night, Calvin Harris was involved in an car accident. While the details on what exactly happened aren’t yet available, the incident was apparently pretty serious.

E! reported that an underage driver in LA crossed the median and collided with Harris’ vehicle. He was a passenger in the SUV that was hit and, along with the others involved in the accident, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. The musician apparently suffered a laceration on his face and, against medical advice, decided to leave the hospital. He is apparently safe recovering in his Beverly Hills home.

So far, the only public statement that’s been made about the accident was done on the musician’s (whose real name is Adam Richard Wiles) Facebook page. It simply says:

Neither Calvin nor his famous significant other Taylor Swift have publicly commented on social media after the accident, though his page is already getting tons of “get well soon” comments. It’s smart to take some time to quietly recover from such a terrifying event. We’re glad that he’s OK our hearts go out to the people and families of everyone involved in this super scary collision.
