Caitlyn Jenner lends her voice to this powerful new H&M ad

There are many role models in the world, and then there’s Caitlyn Jenner, whose fearlessness is empowering. She recently looked amazing on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and after becoming the face of H&M Sport in March this year, she’s now given her voice to a major fashion campaign, also for H&M.

The powerful campaign video is called For Every Victory and it features athletes who have battled physical or personal struggles in their lives, and emerged victorious in the end.

In a statement about the campaign, Jenner said“I truly believe in the power of sports to bring positive change to people’s lives.”This is why I’m so proud to be part of the For Every Victory campaign, because it reminds me of the strength and bravery of people around the world to be their authentic selves and overcome any obstacles that may come their way.”

Jenner’s story has obviously captured the nation, having grown up as William Jenner who became an Olympic gold medalist, and later coming out as a transgender woman. She is a pillar of strength for not only the transgender community, but for the wider LGBTQ+ community, and even beyond.

The campaign video highlights the incredible journeys of athletes such as surfer Mike Coots who lost his leg in a shark attack, and gymnast Chelsea Warner, who has Down’s Syndrome, among others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38OV5g7yMEo

Jenner’s voice is passionate, getting right to the heart of the matter.

And the devastating feeling of being stuck inside the wrong body. “I felt trapped by my body and by what others expected of me.” But ultimately, Jenner looked deep inside herself to figure out what needed to happen. “I had to find strength within me that I didn’t know I had.”

This admission is hard-hitting, but necessary. “Nothing came easy―but nothing truly important ever does.” Jenner’s words are inspiring, to say the least. “To keep going, no matter what the obstacles is what victory looks like, whether you’re representing your country―or yourself.”

Feeling inspired? We certainly are.
