Caitlyn Jenner introduced Boy George at the Greek, got a standing ovation, because of course

Since her splashy “Call Me Cait” Vanity Fair cover rollout, Caitlyn Jenner has been working diligently to be an A+ member of the LGBTQIA community. She’s been hard at work on her groundbreaking reality show I Am Cait,  she’s sung the praises on social media of fellow trans icon/hero Laverne Cox,  she kicked ass delivering her Arthur Ashe Courage Award acceptance speech, and she awesomely celebrated the 4th of July with an important Instagram post that highlighted her gratitude re: living in a country where she is free to be herself.

Last night, Jenner continued to honor her community by coming out to LA’s Greek Theater to introduce the Culture Club concert. For those that need a quick refresher course, the Grammy-award-winning Culture Club has been playing together since 1981, giving the world such play-until-your-iTunes-explodes jams as “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me” and “Karma Chameleon.” Lead singer Boy George is openly gay and has been an LGBTQIA icon for decades.

“Caitlyn Jenner in the house for her first Boy George concert!” Jenner told the crowd. “This is going to be a good group. Thank you so much. Enough about me. Thank you for being here tonight. This is so much fun for me. Let’s hear it here at the Greek Theatre for Boy George! Let’s get it going!”

When Boy George took the stage, he awesomely thanked her for the lovely intro and, as ET reports,  gave props where they were due.

“I expected a standing ovation for her and I wasn’t disappointed,” Boy George told the crowd after thanking Jenner for her intro. “We need to celebrate the kinds of changes that are happening.”

We love Boy George and Caitlyn Jenner buddying up and supporting each other and just being awesome members of their community. Cheers to two legends who know exactly what to do with their star power.
