Here’s where you can buy the items in Mindy Kaling’s weekend kit
Being huge Mindy Kaling fans, we seize every opportunity to be as much like the comedienne as possible. So when she shared a photo of her “weekend kit #1” on July 3, we knew we had to buy everything in it immediately.
The first step: tracking down as many items as we could. The adorable one-piece is ban.do’s I Am Very Busy Swimsuit ($99) which is very sadly sold out, but you can add yourself to the waitlist to be notified when it comes back in stock.
The top appears to be this mood-lifting J.Crew Short-Sleeve Popover Shirt in Candy Stripe ($88) — the colorful stripes are just so Mindy.
We couldn’t find the exact Fendi sunglasses, but we did spot these other adorable tortoiseshell shades ($410) by the same designer, with a similar straight browline.
And while we couldn’t track down her gold shoes either, these ankle-strap Elana Metallic Sandals by Tory Burch ($275) are a fine substitution to complete Mindy’s weekend look, and they’re made by the same label.
Mindy’s summer-reading books are The Girls: A Novel by Emma Cline ($17) and Ragtime: A Novel by E.L. Doctorow ($11).
The total price of Mindy’s weekend kit? About $900. Is it worth it to live like Mindy for a couple days? In our opinion, probably! It’s packed with great reads and Mindy’s eye-catching and whimsical sense of style. Double score.
