Bumble Bizz is looking to help entrepreneurs by giving away business grants
Following the release of Bumble Bizz last week, the app is now looking to improve the budding entrepreneurial relationships made through the app. To do so, Bumble is giving away $50,000 in business grants to teams of entrepreneurs who met via Bumble Bizz.
To recap, Bumble Bizz is a new Bumble feature that allows users to swipe through possible networking connections in order to potentially land a dream job. The app can also connect users to potential business mentors.
Like Bumble’s dating feature, the female users are responsible for initiating conversation. That rule is key, since Bumble aims to “eliminate abuse and inappropriate behavior” toward women who use its service.
Bumble Bizz’s latest business grant contest comes with some amazing perks for entrepreneurs. Winning teams can earn up to $10,000 in investment funding, three-month WeWork passes, a new laptop, and one day of mentorship from the Bumble CEO/executive team at the company’s new headquarters in Austin, Texas.
The app will be choosing five teams to award these prizes to, and users can enter in-app while using the Bizz feature.
To apply, one must submit background information on the founding team, a description of the “social good outcome that the new product will drive,” and an outlined business plan. Said team must include at least one woman.
Submissions will be accepted through October 31st, so get your team organized and apply sooner rather than later.
Bumble Bizz is changing the way people do business and putting women at the forefront. Keep swiping and keep networking. You could be on your way to land $10,000.
