Be still our hearts, a Buffy and Willow reunion!
This one goes out to all the fangirls out there who still can’t deal with the fact that Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been off the air for twelve years now. For the girls who represent a united front as part of Team “Well, as long as they’re rebooting Full House and Wet Hot American Summer why can’t they reboot BTVS?” After all, Joss Whedon is done with Marvel movies, so he can come back and showrun. Most of the core cast seems free enough, and the new show can be about — I don’t know, Sunnydale being rebuilt and the gang having to move back to fight all that Hellmouth evil (I remember the final episode of the series, but even after all that Big Bad fighting the Hellmouth still, like, exists, right?).
Until we get our Buffy reboot (you guys, I believe), we’ll have to be content with this real-life reunion between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan.
As People reports, the two reunited for Hannigan’s little girl Keeva’s third birthday party. Gellar did us all a favor and documented the lovefest on social media.
“So this girl (#AlysonHannigan) and her husband (#AlexisDenisof) know how to throw a party,” Gellar captioned the above pic on Insta. “I thought I was good with the crafts, till I went to this party #CraftMaster. Thanks for having the #PrinzeFamily I’ve never seen a farm and pony rides in Santa Monica before #NowIveSeenItAll.”
The ladies look gorg and that jean jacket is SO Buffy and those overalls are SO SO SO Willow.
Later, SMG tweeted out another photo of the once onscreen besties, this time joined by an epic balloon animal.
This sounds like the kid’s party to end all kid’s parties. Well played, Alyson Hannigan. And thanks, Sarah Michelle, for giving us a peek into the awesomeness. Anytime you and Alyson want to have a social media selfie party (or do a BTVS reboot, just throwing it out there one more time), we’re here for you.
