Bryan Cranston wants more ‘Malcom in the Middle.’ We say yes please!
The time has come to put aside pathological Walter White and step back into the shoes of Hal, the henpecked father on Malcolm in the Middle – or so says Bryan Cranston, and he is the expert.
“Right now, I think, I look back on Malcolm in the Middle. It’s been 10 years since we went off the air and it’d be fun to pick up that guy’s clothes again and be fun and sweet and adorable and hapless and clueless and afraid of everything,” Cranston told Entertainment Tonight Canada (via Digital Spy). We totally agree.
It is an 180 from being a sociopathic drug kingpin with a shaved head, that’s for sure. If Malcolm in the Middle isn’t on the table for a reboot, how about Malcolm In The Mid-life Crisis? The idea was floated on Twitter by Malcolm’s eponymous star, Frankie Muniz, this month. The idea yielded a flurry of replies, largely complimentary and some pointing out that his faux-dad is now a very important meth dealer. Shake it off people, no one can break bad forever!
