Britney Spears sang live on stage and the internet is absolutely LOSING it
There’s a whole lot to love about Britney Spears. The pop star has been through so much since she hit the scene in 1998 with ‘Baby One More Time.’ Since then, she’s released countless hits, become a proud mom, and been imitated by flight attendants everywhere. She’s even getting her own Lifetime movie! As Brit sang it in 2000, she is stronger than yesterday! We apologize for the dorkiness, we’re just so happy that she’s back on tour. Our happiness skyrocketed yesterday when she sang live during a concert in Singapore.

For those unfamiliar with Spears, this is a huge deal, because she’s been accused of lip syncing for most of her career.
It’s true, a lot of musicians lip sync. It makes sense. When you’re touring around the world, not getting much sleep, and dealing with jet lag it can be hard to perform at your best. Having excited fans paying for tickets just puts more pressure to lip sync to make sure that their performances go smoothly.
However, Spears has to deal with the assumption that she lip syncs sometimes because she isn’t a good singer. Which honestly just isn’t true! According to People, Spears recently discussed this misconception while on tour in Israel, slamming accusations that she lip syncs. She put it this way:
"A lot of people think that I don’t sing live. Usually, because I’m dancing so much, I do have a little bit of playback, but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback. It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it, you know?"
Hopefully these videos will put any of those accusations to rest. However, we had her back all along. Britney Spears is awesome, and she’s got some serious pipes!
