Can you spot all the iconic Britney references in MTV’s latest VMAs trailer?

? GUYS, THIS IS NOT A DRILL! ?
After nine (!) long years, the Queen of the VMAs is returning to the stage and OMG WE CAN BARELY BREATHE.
Yep, Britney Spears is set to return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage this year

Yesterday (August 16), Britney surprised us all by uploading the most EPIC trailer to her social media accounts.
“The VMAs don’t just give you stage, they give you a story,” Britney narrates over pulsing music. “It’s a way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever. Before you know it; it’s history.
“Before you know it…it’s Britney, bitch.”
*SCREAMS FOREVER*
This year’s VMAs, which take place August 28, will mark Britney’s first performance at the event following her infamous and now iconic rendition of “Gimme More” back in 2007.
Of course, for years the VMAs became synonymous with legendary performances by Britney.
Who else remembers the snake?
Or what about when she KISSED Madonna in 2003?
Pop culture peaked at this moment.
Basically, the VMAs as we know them wouldn’t be as controversial, energetic, and exciting without Ms. Britney Spears.
Brit is also set to release her ninth studio album, Glory, on August 26, and the VMAs will mark the first live performance of her latest single, the G-Eazy featuring bop, “Make Me…”.
What we’re loving about the whole thing, however, is all the subtle references to BritBrit’s career in the VMAs trailer. Of course there is the snake (who we now know is named Banana), but there are SO many others. The red outfit from “Oops,” the telephone, the veils, the perfume bottles; it’s all SO exciting.
Britney joins Rihanna –who is being honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the event – as the only two confirmed performers. Nonetheless, we’re hearing rumors that Beyoncé AND Lady Gaga could be making an appearance, too.
Brit will also make an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where she’ll be jumping in the car with James for “Carpool Karaoke.”
You can catch all the drama and all the tea on August 28 on MTV.
