Britney Spears is living her best life with a little Mozart and some paint on her balcony
Britney Spears is beyond talented. She sang our teenage truths through ‘90s hits like “…Baby One More Time” and even inspired us to follow our dreams with her acting in Crossroads. But when the superstar isn’t busy singing, acting, or being an incredible momma — Britney enjoys painting on her balcony with a little Mozart floating through her speakers. We’ve dubbed her Leonardo di Britney, and today, she’s taking us on a journey through her heart…with her art.
The princess of pop recently returned to her Las Vegas residency, and after long nights filled with high energy and incredible dance moves, she decided to slow things down a bit on Friday morning. Britney took to Instagram to share a video of herself showing off her artistic skills by painting what looks like rainbow flowers and squiggly lines.
“Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!” she captioned the shot. So true, Brit-Brit. So true.
First of all, we absolutely have to commend Britney Spears’s use of emojis to perfectly express her more playful side.
The video shows the singer staring intensely at her canvases while she brings her masterpiece to life. Then suddenly the camera zooms in on a paint palette nearby, and when it returns, we realize the singer somehow managed a quick wardrobe change mid-stroke…like only Britney could.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Spears channeling her inner Picasso though. We found a short YouTube clip from 2016 of her busy creating another masterpiece, this one looking a lot like the changing leaves of fall or perhaps, tiny seeds?

And back in 2015 during an interview on Australia’s 2DayFM Dan & Maz Show, Britney revealed that she loves listening to another award-winning songstress while she works on her art.
“I love Mariah Carey. Still to this day,” the singer said. “I was painting in my room. I have an art room, and I just paint on the walls and do all this kind of crazy stuff. I bought her new greatest hits, and her new Infinity record yesterday, and I was just in there with my top off, just like painting and doing all this artsy fartsy stuff.”
It’s clear Britney is out here living her very best life, and color us impressed AND inspired.
