Britney Spears Announces She’s “Not Dead,” Even If People Want to Make Movies About Her Life

If there's going to be a biopic, it's Britney Bitch! And no one else.

Britney Spears wants her fans to know she is alive and well, and that despite drowning her followers in Instagram posts this week, there’s no cause for alarm — or for anyone to think about playing her in a biopic, either.

“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life,” Spears wrote in an Instagram post on Nov. 8, 2022. “Dude I’m not dead!!!”

Spears is likely referencing the cinematic desires of Millie Bobby Brown, who, during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, admitted her dream role is to play a real person — specifically her childhood pop idol, Britney Spears.

“Her story resonates with me,” Brown described in the backseat of Barrymore’s “Drewber” car. “Just growing up in the public eye watching her videos, watching interviews of how when she was younger…”

“I see the scramble for words,” The Stranger Things star adds, referencing Spears’ loss for words in old media appearances. “I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”

Sounds sweet and genuine, but the Toxic singer made it clear that if there’s going to be a movie about her life, it’s Britney Bitch! And no one else.

Never mind that many successful biopics have been created while the subjects have been alive and well — including Rocketman, about Spears’ good friend Elton John. Miss Britney isn’t having any of it while she’s still twirling through life.

The singer referenced her social media posting cadence, which some have questioned recently based on its erratic nature. “Yeah I know I’ve posted too much this week on Instagram 😬🙈,” she admitted. “Kinda fun though !!!”

“I did kinda post too much this week,” she adds. “I’m embarrassed !!! I get it … oh well !!!”

Though she appears to be living her best life, the rest of the post took a darker turn. The beginning half mentioned how she is “still breathing” and then appears to criticize her parents, who she’s had a tumultuous relationship with — especially since being released from a 13-year conservatorship.

“It’s funny the same two people who gave me life are the same exact 2 people who took it away,” she wrote in the Instagram caption … but guess what !!! I’m alive and I’m breathing again !!!”

“It’s pretty f***ing clear they preferred me dead 🙄🙄🙄,” she added after the reference to Brown’s biopic mention. “I guess my family is going to lock their doors now.”

The star then switches gears to a more positive ending. “I just want to say hi and share these fabulous doors,” she concludes, in reference to the image of a door located on Calle de los Dos Amigos in Madrid, which she reposted from the @AntiguosCafesdeMadrid account.

A metaphor for open and closed doors in her life? No one is really sure at this point, but it looks like the window of opportunity for Millie Bobby Brown to play her former role model is definitely closed, if Spears has anything to do with it.
