You guys, being a teenager was rough. Remember when you had acne, and no amount of Cetaphil or hexes could get rid of it? Remember when you bought transition lenses because you were like, “they’re so practical I guess?” Remember when you felt so awkward in your own skin you just wanted to stay in your room and listen to your boom box and not be around anyone ever, for the rest of time?
Well, it turns out, the queen of our hearts and ruler of Las Vegas Britney Spears probably felt that way too! We stumbled across this vintage pic of Britney from the 1999 MTV Music Awards rehearsals and realized: THIS WAS ALL OF US. Here’s Britney, age 18, just as awkward as we all were at 18. Wearing orange transitions and a puffy zip-up vest.
Except maybe we didn’t get to chill with Ricky Martin.
