Britney Spears is the new face of Kenzo, and she’s serving serious early-2000s Pepsi vibes in the ads
Britney Spears is the new face of Kenzo, modeling all sorts of fashion *lewks* for their La Collection Memento N°2 campaign, and we can’t help but feel like this new ad campaign shares a direct spiritual link with her early-2000s Pepsi commercials. Kenzo wanted Spears to front their new denim-heavy collection, because as they put it — she’s “the quintessential queen of denim.”
“I think that in many ways, growing up she is also synonymous with denim with me,” Kenzo creative director Humberto Leon said in a statement. “When her and Justin came out in their denim outfits, that is like an iconic look.”
"I was really flattered when Kenzo approached me to be the face of their line," Britney said in a statement. "I love the brand, and with denim being a big part of this collection, it made it that much more appealing to me since denim is such a part of my own style. Having Peter Lindbergh on board made the opportunity exciting too."
More importantly, these new images are giving us twenty-something Brit Brit vibes, and we are digging it.
Wow, wet deserted alley realness over here.
The behind-the-scenes video feels like stepping into a time machine.
Don’t these images give you crazy “Joy Of Pepsi” vibes?
The “quintessential queen of denim” was born right here.
We don’t think we can sum this up better than this commenter did.
