Britney Spears blessed Justin Timberlake with a dance shoutout—and referenced their famous breakup

The singer, performer, and absolute icon posts the most uplifting and pure content to her feed. And yesterday, April 15th, Spears gave a shoutout to her ex, Justin Timberlake, and gave us some classic Britney choreo to boot.

In her Instagram video, she’s dancing to to Timberlake’s 2018 song “Filthy.” She twirls, she flips her hair, she body rolls, and she has the most fun anyone could possibly have during quarantine.

“This is my version of Snapchat or TikTok or whatever the cool thing you’re supposed to do these days ????!!!!!” Spears captioned her post. “As you can see I’m not really dancing folks……I’m just very bored ?.”

Then, she went there before fans even had the chance to call out her song choice: “PS I know we had one of the world’s biggest breakups 20 years ago…but hey the man is a genius!!!!”

She finished her caption specifically calling out Timberlake: “Great song JT ✨!!!! Pssss if you KNOW WHAT’S GOOD ? !!!!!!”

Spears also uploaded a “Part 2” to her first video. She masters 14 twirls and gives us a full minute’s worth of “Filthy” dancing. Listen: We really never thought we’d want hip-hugger jeans to come back into fashion, but Spears is kind of changing our mind here.

Yes, Justin Timberlake did catch wind that his ex-girlfriend was dancing to his tune.

The former NSYNC member commented a crying-laughing emoji and a string of hallelujah hands. We think it’s safe to say that those 20-year-old wounds have healed.
