Britney Spears Lashes Out at Family Members in Deleted Instagram Posts

'Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister?' the pop icon asked before tearing into abuse allegations she faced under her conservatorship.

Britney Spears is not letting her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, get away with trying to change their relationship narrative. The legendary pop icon wrote a series of posts over the weekend detailing life under her 13-year conservatorship, and that whatever shadow her little sis grew up in was nothing compared to the alleged abuses the “Toxic” singer faced during that time.

“Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister ???? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm …. Really ???” Britney wrote in a post on Instagram, which has since been removed. It was accompanied by images of spinal accessory nerve damage, which Britney revealed as a new health concern back in November 2022.

The outbursts come days after the premier of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, in which Jamie Lynn is one of the cast members. The pop star’s sister got honest during the first episode, which aired on Jan. 4 2023, stating that, “It just feels like every time I work really hard to get something on my own it’s like it’s not really worth it. I mean, growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young.”

“I’m so proud of her, [I] love her to death,” she continued. “I don’t know, I just feel like sometimes I’ve never really been able to have anything for myself.”

It’s safe to say that Britney has seen the footage by now, or at least clips from the show, and it was only a matter of time before she publicly reacted.

In the deleted posts, she brought up examples of life under her conservatorship, especially during Britney: Piece of Me, the residency which ran at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from 2013 to 2017. During this time, she allegedly wasn’t even allowed to go to the spa.

“This was my spa plan at Vegas as my childhood friends had their heads held high with a seat for toes and nails and a bottle of champagne for each one of them,” she describes in the post, “while I STOOD AT THE DOOR 🚪not allowed to go in …. but bet ur bottom dollar they be gotten their entertainment from me that night !!!!!”

Spears has been vocal about the restrictions she’s faced while under her 13-year long conservatorship, in which everything was controlled — her finances, her career, her reproductive rights, and even the freedom to enjoy a cup of coffee, according to a previous Instagram post.

“You want me to share it on Telly ???” Britney added, alluding to Jamie Lynn’s confessional. “I’d rather spit in their faces and trash them on Instagram cause that’s all my family has ever been to me !!!!”

“It honestly blows my mind the hardships you say you have had with having me as your sister,” Britney reiterated in the post, adding, “I’m sorry you feel that way but don’t ever poke at my broken foot in a kitchen telling me to go to the doctor because my foot infection might infect your royal children !!!”

Britney also tore into her father, Jamie Spears, who allegedly had “5 women on his tour bus” and was actually allowed to drink coffee, too.

Those responsible for these decisions include Jamie who was the main appointee during her conservatorship, as well as Jamie Lynn, who was a trustee. There are numerous allegations of how these members may have abused their roles for financial gain.

Britney is taking a pause from fan commentary (she’s turned off comments on her IG account, which is probably for the best). But that’s not stopping the #FreeBritney base from showing their support. Heather McDonald, host of the comedy podcast Juicy Scoop and a known commentator for news on Britney post-conservatorship, made an appeal to hang with the pop star via Instagram:

We hope Britney is out there somewhere sippin’ a cup of joe while getting her nails done, because if anyone needs a spa day, it’s definitely her.
