Britney Spears Dines at Nobu Twice in One Weekend, Hints at ‘Mysteries’ on Instagram

With a new haircut and some dresses designed by herself, is there anything Britney Spears can't do?

Britney Spears made the most of her weekend by playing fashion designer, getting a new ‘do, and dining out at one of her fave local restaurants, Nobu. The pop singer posted on Instagram that she and her inner circle got to enjoy the iconic Japanese restaurant not once, but twice, between Feb. 17 and 19.

“Last night before dinner at Nobu … Why is that place so good and how come I always sit by the fire 🔥 !!!” she wrote in the caption of the first post, which included a video of a black cropped ensemble and Spears goofing around with some cute accessories.

Her husband, Sam Asghari, wasn’t crazy about the look, however. Spears wrote that he “hates this video,” thought her outfit was “bad,” and that she was “confused” by his reaction. Asghari has previously been open about some aspects of life in the House of Spears, including how he feels about his wife sharing nude photos, and that he really doesn’t like when she brings up her ex, Justin Timberlake.

The second fashion look featured was a dress that may turn this vocal powerhouse into a fashion designer, too. The short sparkly number didn’t cost a fortune, just “170 bucks for the front diamond panel” and while “it’s not Versace” the “Lucky” singer seems proud of it.

Spears claims she created it on her own, with help from an anonymous seamstress to pull it all together. “I was bored but creating is so cool !!!”

On Feb. 20, Spears posted about her second trip to Nobu. TMZ broke news of Spears’ outing on the same day, with paparazzi photos of the Grammy award-winning singer, her husband, and close friend Cade Hudson, although the location of their coming-and-going was not mentioned.

The tabloid also referred to Hudson as Spears’ manager, although Spears has spoken out about how she doesn’t have a management team, “nor will I ever again in my life !!!”

Spears took to Instagram to clarify any potential misunderstandings about her appearance and whereabouts, using an image of the painting, An Illicit Letter by the Italian artist Vittorio Reggianini.

“Okay I like things that are a little bit of a mystery 🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!” she opened her caption. “Well last night before I went out again to Nobu for the second time … ok I was hungry 😂😂 !!!” I cut my hair !!! A lot … like maybe 2 and a half or three inches.”

She mentions how her hair “was curled not straight at all 💇🏼‍♀️ !!!” and that a friend “sent me a pic of me going inside and my hair is longer than it was before I cut it !!! And it’s straight … uhhhhhh what the heck 🧐🤔 ???”

It’s unclear which image Spears received and is referring to; the paparazzi photos show the “Crazy” singer with curled locks.

A second post on Feb. 20 shows Spears, Asghari, and Hudson posing in front of a tree. The singer explained that it’s her “favorite tree” and she takes a photo next to “every year” but that dimensions seemed off to her.

“I stood in the exact same place as last year,” she wrote in the caption. “Why the hell was the tree so damn big last year 🤔 ???”

The outfits worn by Spears and her cohorts match those which were taken by TMZ’s paparazzi sources as well, so any concerned fans can agree the images are recent.

Media outlets like The Daily Mail reported that the star was looking “loved-up” and “appeared to be in jovial spirits” which is a refreshing break from the recent tabloid headlines surrounding an alleged intervention.

“It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died,” Spears wrote in the caption of an Instagram post from Feb. 9. “I mean at some point enough is enough.”
