ICYMI: You could’ve bought Britney Spears’ grocery lists for $60 a pop on Ebay
If you’ve ever wondered what Britney Spears bought at the grocery store (and we all know that’s the kind of stuff that keeps you up at night), wonder no more. Britney’s alleged grocery lists were up for grabs on eBay this week and ~spoiler alert~ she supposedly has a thing for cinnamon.
We’re not too sure how this eBay user got a hold of her grocery lists, but according to the seller, they “CAME FROM A WELL RESPECTED MUSIC MEMORABILIA COMPANY AND ARE 100% GENUINE I WILL INCLUDE A COPY OF THE LISTING PAGE GIVING A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE LOT.” All of this was written in blue Comic Sans font, which made the seller seem less angry, and more excited, I promise. Moving on!
For just $59.99, you could’ve seen and touched the stained and crinkled lists at your leisure. Unfortunately, the lists that were for sale are now gone, which is honestly not all that surprising. Considering an autographed picture goes for about the same (if not more), that’s a pretty sweet deal — you know, if you’re into that kind of stuff. These are personal grocery lists, after all.
Although there’s no way to tell whether the lists are actually authentic, the writing does bear a striking resemblance to Britney’s. And, for what it’s worth, Britney has been seen carrying a few grocery lists in her day. Back in 2013, her grocery list went viral when paparazzi caught a close-up shot of the items. If you’re curious, the list included orange juice, 2% milk, ginger ale, ham, chicken, bread, and Lunchables. Which is the most delightfully relatable grocery list, ever.
Alright, now that we’ve gotten all of that funny business out of the way, let’s take a look at what Britney was maybe buying at the store. BEHOLD:
On this list, we’ve got some 2 percent milk, Cinnamon Toast Crunch (we approve, Brit), and frozen pretzels.
This one is a little more nuanced — we’ve got Ritz Crackers, Velveeta, Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, baby ice-cream drumsticks, Dr. Pepper, and fat free bacon (does that really exist?).
Some more cinnamon products, baby pizzas, and Redbull. Good call on the last-minute addition of the “double icing Oreos.”
Did we really just recount Britney’s alleged shopping lists? Yes, yes we did. And it’s making us feel very strange and very hungry.
Even though Britney’s possibly real shopping lists are now gone, you can still keep up with this quirky eBay seller, here. Who knows, maybe there are more grocery lists underway? One can only hope.
