Britney Spears’ ‘Glory’ album cover art is making some fans *so* upset — and they’re calling for a change
Although Britney Spears is finally preparing to bless her fans with a new album three years after the release of 2012’s Britney Jean, we’re rather shocked to learn that not all of her supporters are overjoyed. In fact, a group of the singer’s supporters are not feeling the cover of Spears’ upcoming album Glory. But instead of complaining about it on Twitter or bemoaning it in group chats, the fans have started a petition to have Spears’ album cover changed.
According to Idolator, the change.org petition addresses RCA and is led by Austin Dame. It reads in part:
“We Britney fans find that the cover art is not a suitable representation of the music that Britney is putting out and we are calling for it to be changed.” The petition continues, “We ask that RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment change the album cover to one that would be a better and more suitable choice for the album.”
Um, wow. Sure, the Glory cover resembles a few of Spears’ previous album cover artwork, but this call for change feels rather entitled.

So far, Spears hasn’t addressed the petition, but that may have something to do with the fact that she’s busy promoting her new song “Private Show.” Obviously fan support is crucial to any artist’s success, but we’re thinking that Dame and company might have listened to “Gimme More” one too many times.
Hopefully when Glory is released on Aug. 26, these fans will be so excited about Spears’ new music that they’ll let her off the hook for this supposedly unsuitable album cover.
