Britney Spears gave the sweetest shoutout to Madonna and Beyoncé for International Women’s Day

Yesterday was International Women’s Day (March 8th), and to celebrate Ms. Britney Spears gave praise the women who inspire her: Madonna and Beyoncé.

Not only was yesterday a celebration of women all over the world, with celebrities and the internet bursting with love for all females, but it also saw women all over the world stage “A Day Without A Woman,” an international “stirike” day that aimed to prove how integral women are to the fabric of society.

What’s more, there were so many adorable and important tributes to some fabulous women, with Billie Lourd paying homage to her mother, the late Carrie Fisher, and J.K. Rowling taking to Twitter (obvs) to chastise those bemoaning the existence of International Women’s Day.

Well, it seems that Britney Spears was also in the celebratory mood, as she shared two cute AF tributes to the women who inspire her.

On social media, Brit gave a shoutout to two fellow musical icons, Madonna and Beyoncé.

"@madonna and @beyonce... 2 of the many women who inspire me. Always fierce throughout their careers. Thank you for being amazing 💖 Happy International Women’s Day everyone! #WomensDay #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #GirlPower," she wrote.

Britney recently showed her appreciation for Beyoncé’s “Hold Up,” taken from the album Lemonade, by doing her own home catwalk to the track. Werk that (homemade) runaway girl!

Similarly, Brit and Madonna have worked together in the past, and Britney has spent years talking about how important the Queen of Pop is to her.

Given that there was a whole day to celebrate women, Britney Spears decided to also praise two more incredibly strong females, her sister Jamie Lynn and Rihanna.

"Two more women I admire ⭐️⭐️ @jamielynnspears and @badgalriri #InternationalWomensDay," she wrote.

We absolutely love seeing women supporting other women, and it’s so refreshing to see Britney (who is, let’s face it, a legend) speaking up about other legends in the industry who have had an impact on her. What a queen.
