Britney Spears and Paris Hilton Address Rumors that they were Hanging Out this Weekend
Hollywood agent and mutual friend Cade Hudson had a birthday party, but Spears is refuting rumors she was there.
Britney Spears has finally addressed some of the rumors swirling that she was present at the birthday party of Cade Hudson, a Hollywood agent and someone Spears has previously been linked to in terms of friendship and professional matters.
Questions started to arise when socialite and reality TV star Paris Hilton, a mutual friend of Spears and Hudson, posted a birthday dedication carousel to Hudson on her Instagram account on Jan. 7. Several news outlets also incorrectly reported that Spears was present at Hudson’s birthday, based on posts from other guests.
“[I] have no idea about these pics of me from a birthday party,” Spears wrote in a post from Jan. 9, 2023. “I haven’t been to a bday party in forever !!! And as for the pics, those have to be from years ago !!!”

A group photo of Spears with Hilton and Hudson is part of the carousel, and followers of Hilton wondered not only about the Grammy award-winner being present at Hudson’s birthday party, but if it was really the “Womanizer” singer in the photo at all.
#FreeBritney conspiracy theorists have been having an especially fun time with this one, saying that the “Toxic” singer was photoshopped into the group photo, which Hilton eventually addressed in her own comments section:
“To all of those asking. Some of these photos were taken on an iPhone so they ended up being blurry,” Hilton explained. “So they used this app called Remini to make it look unblurry and sometimes the Ai distorts images. Didn’t want to even dignify this with a response. But some of these conspiracy theories are absolutely ridiculous.”
Hilton and Spears’ friendship goes back a long time. Hilton was one of the few selected celebrity guests to attend the pop singer’s wedding back in June 2022, along with Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Drew Barrymore.
One of the photos in the birthday dedication post is of Hilton, Hudson, and Barrymore at Spears’ wedding, which may have also thrown fans off.
Hudson has been linked to Spears because of his work with her professionally, as her agent for more than a decade according to Hollywood Life. It’s also been reported that he was a huge supporter of Spears during her conservatorship, and worked hard to have it finally ended in November of 2021.
It does seem strange that not much has been mentioned about Spears’ relationship to Hudson in the past few months. And while the “Baby One More Time” singer has been stepping out of her home more recently, she may not feel comfortable enough to attend a huge social gathering like the one that Hudson had.
For now, Spears is happy to just show off some of her favorite outfits. “Here’s me modeling RED outfit number 1 !!!” she concluded in her post. “That means there are way more to go … 7 is my favorite 😏 !!! I will SHARE with you lovely people !!!”
