This super quick Instagram hack will help you get back the old Insta you know and love
When Instagram decided to change its logo, the world collectively freaked out. Here’s just a sampling of Twitter’s response: false false false
If you feel the above tweets to your core, we have great news: There’s a cure. Because nothing is impossible. Yes, what we’re saying is that there’s a way for us all to get the old Instagram logo back in our lives.
Here’s the hack that was developed by UX designer Juan Ramirez:
1. Move the Instagram app to a folder on your phone’s home screen.
2. Click this link while on your phone (don’t worry – we’ve already tested it out and it won’t make your phone crash or anything).
3. Select the “Share” button at the bottom of the screen and click “Add to Home Screen.”
4. Name your new app icon Instagram and you are DONE.
Once you click on the logo, it will redirect you to your Instagram – though it won’t replace the new monochromatic design featured on the app’s display. It’s also important to note that this hack will only work for iOS users.
But hey, maybe Instagram will get the hint if enough people partake in the hack. Could you imagine how amazing it would be if we could all choose whatever Insta logo suits our individual styles?
