Brigitte Nielsen shared the first pic of her new baby after giving birth at age 54
Congratulations are in order, because model and actress Brigitte Nielsen has given birth to her fifth child, and she took to Instagram to share the first photo of new baby Frida.
The milestone is extra special for Nielsen and her husband, Italian model Mattia Dessi, because Frida is the couple’s first child together. She’s also the first baby girl for Nielsen, who has four boys from previous relationships, and the couple seems to be over-the-moon in love with their beautiful new addition.
Nielsen gave birth on Friday, June 22nd in Los Angeles, and told People.com, “We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives. It’s been a long road, and so worth it. We’ve never been more in love.”
She also shared a sneak peak of baby Frida in a gorgeous photo taken at the hospital, captioning the pic, “Our precious little Frida, our true love.” Heart emojis all around.
Nielsen received a flurry of agist and sexist backlash when she announced she’d be having a baby at 54, but she refused to let the trolls get her down (because when was the last time you saw a 54-year-old man be criticized for choosing to expand his family?).
