Brie Larson’s BFF makes magical jewelry inspired by tarot cards
Actress Brie Larson quickly became a fashion force to be reckoned with when she started slaying each look on the red carpet. This super talented woman has either been blessed with the gift of knowing what looks good, right down to every accessory — or she surrounds herself with the best out there.
We’re guessing it’s the latter because one of the 26-year-old Oscar winner’s best friends just happens to be a killer jewelry designer, offering her unique pieces based on tarot cards.
Reiki master, tarot card reader and now jeweler, Melinda Lee Holm, has been studying the metaphysical for over 25 years and recently became inspired by tarot’s unique patterns and special meanings. As Vogue.com reports, Holm turned to tarot to bring comfort to a grieving friend, and that’s when her jewelry line began.
“The jewelry really came about as a tool to extend the time I had with people doing tarot readings after they left my presence,” Holm told Vogue.com.
The gorgeous pieces incorporate all the intricate things associated with tarot, including a variety of stones, all which come with their own meaning.
Larson, who describes Holm as one of her “favorite and most trusted friends on this planet” is of course, a big fan of her BFF’s new line and stands behind their healing powers.
“Melinda’s pieces are elegant but embrace the natural beauty of the stones,” Larson told Vogue.com. “They are not cut and carved to be a perfect shape but are as nature intended them.”
Larson isn’t the only big-named celebrity who swears by Holm’s work. Her delicate jewelry has been spotted on Mad Men stars Christina Hendricks and Jessica Paré.
