Brie Larson was a gothic, Victorian dream at the “Free Fire” premiere
Fresh off her international Kong Skull Island press tour, we assumed Brie Larson might be entitled to a little red carpet reprieve. Wrong. The Oscar-winning actress is continuing to make sartorial waves both on and off the carpet, whipping out a divine-meets-daring gown for last night’s Free Fire premiere. And rest assured, the look is nothing short of ~mesmerizing.~
As for as her fashion instincts go, Brie’s got a gut instinct for bold dresses that balance edge and elegance. And with the help of her trusty A-grade stylist, Samantha McMillen, she never misses a beat. Ms. Larson shied away from her previous glamorous and ladylike proclivities, and instead sent jaws dropping to the floor in a gothic black gown.
The Victoriana number hails from the Elie Saab fall 2017 runway, and is rich in elaborate detail. Pretty ruffled shoulders, delicate lace paneling, a velvet bustier and gold buckled waist belt all added to the ornate aura of the piece.
With it’s ankle-length silhouette, Brie flashed her toes with black Christian Louboutin sandals. As for accessories, well, she didn’t really work in any. Which is a choice we totally understand, considering very few accessories could adequately stand up to par with this statement gown.
Brie did keep the Victoriana vibes going with her makeup, crafted by celeb makeup guru Rachel Goodwin, opting for romantic rose eyes and lips to match.
