Brie Larson brought the ~va-va-voom~ to the”Kong, Skull Island” premiere in fiery, red-hot dress
Brie Larson — Oscar-winning actress, Hollywood sweetheart, and all around amazing chick — just added another title to her lengthy list of A-list attributes: red carpet siren. The 27-year-old actress instantly shut down the Kong, Skull Island red carpet in Los Angeles when she arrived in this breathtaking confection of a dress. And whew — we’re still trying to catch our breath!
Now, let’s talk details. Selected by her trusty stylist, Christina Ehrlich, this simmering, molten number comes hot off the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2017 runway that showed at New York Fashion Week last month. A thick, carmine-embroidered cross neckline offset by the ankle-length silhouette of the dress added an extra pinch of understated glamour and sophistication.
Look closely, and you’ll also note the subtle shimmer of the dress’s fabric, which serves to bring even more star-power to this already stunning number. And considering its statuesque shape and regal feel, we’re 100 percent confident in saying this dress has catapulted Brie right into A-list style status. To top it all off, she paired the dress with pointed toe Christian Louboutin heels and Cartier jewels.
Of course, Brie’s never had a style misstep in her life. It just so happens that this unbelievably gorgeous dress paired with this unbelievably talented actress was cause for all the stars to align. Really, there’s no arguing it’s one of Brie’s best red carpet looks to date.
As for the HAMU (aka, “hair and makeup”), the starlet kept the old Hollywood glam motif going strong with a swept back, voluminous bun offset by a few strands of face-framing, finger waves. The lips were a soft pink, the eyes just smoky enough and the face perfectly luminous for an Audrey Hepburn-inspired look.
One last note here: As if you didn’t already adore Brie enough, there’s an even better reason why she wore this dress last night apart from the fact that it’s ~stunning~. You betcha: She selected this bright red dress to pay tribute to International Women’s Day!
