Brie Larson is giving away these beautiful key necklaces, and here’s how to win one
Always one to champion wonderful causes and empower people to speak their minds, Brie Larson is doing it once again. She’s purchased ten key necklaces inscribed with the word “fearless,” and will be giving them away to ten lucky and fearless humans. What do you have to do to win? According to her Instagram post, you must post a message detailing a time you overcame your fear. Talk about an act of bravery. Brie Larson has over 750,000 followers on Instagram. So, it’s safe to assume your story will be read by many, many, many eyeballs.
The necklaces aren’t just any necklaces, either.
The necklaces are from The Giving Keys, a project started by singer/songwriter Caitlin Crosby a few years ago. She started with the idea of engraving old keys with inspirational words and turning the newly-minted metal into jewelry. The receivers of the “giving key” necklaces are encouraged to pay it forward and give their key away to a friend or stranger in need of the imprinted inspiration. But that’s not where the coolness ends! She also created 30 jobs and hired workers affected by homelessness.

As for Brie Larson’s post, the messages have been pouring in. It’s absolutely amazing to read about these acts of bravery, both big and small. People shared stories about dealing with mental and physical ailments, leaving their faith, surviving the London attacks, enduring school bullying, overcoming their struggles with unworthiness,struggling with difficult issues with family, and more. It just goes to show you: At the end of the day, we can handle more than we think.
It also warms the heart to see followers interacting with each other, giving the equivalent of an internet hug.
And perhaps (if you’ll allow us to get deep) if we survive our worst fears, it’ll change us in the most excellent and unexpected ways. It’ll open us to another whole dimension within ourselves. Kinda mind-bendy, we know.
