Brie Larson looks like disco Cinderella in her glittery blue gown
Is there anything Brie Larson can’t do?! Besides being a director, actresses, and singer, she’s also a style icon, catching our eyes with show-stopping looks. And Brie’s Rodarte dress is straight out of Cinderella … that is, if Cinderella was a disco queen. The actress wore a custom, hand-beaded Rodarte gown with Swarovski crystals to the premiere of Kong: Skull Island in Tokyo and, honestly, we’re losing our minds.
The two-tiered dress is made of what look like hand-picked stars from the night sky, woven into a celestial tapestry that only Rodarte could pull off. The strapless dress is a vibrant dusky blue with sparkling hints of green, pink, and yellow woven throughout.
Each tier is finished off with a sheer midnight blue frill, adding another element of texture to the otherwise uniform dress. Brie chose to accessorize with her blonde hair pulled back, simple but glowing makeup, and a sleek gold bangle.
This dress is so Cinderella; the grandeur, the deep sky blue, even the way Brie looks is evocative of the Disney Princess. The tubular cut of the dress and tiers, however, add a disco vibe to the look, making us feel like this is what Cinderella would wear if she was a 1970s gal. Now Brie has another title to add to her arsenal: modern-day Princess.
