Brie Larson and the “Broad City” stars had their own awesome takes on #DressLikeAWoman

When word leaked about Trump’s alleged sexist dress code for women in the White House, the world exploded. And rightly so. This is some next-level Handmaid’s Tale style BS. No one should tell a woman how to “dress like a woman.”

Luckily, millions of people are speaking out on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #DressLikeAWoman. And some of those women are celebrities, including our beloved Brie Larson and Broad City stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson.

Here’s what Brie Larson had to say about #DressLikeAWoman.

A powerful woman can dress how she damn well pleases, thank you very much.

Our Broad City gals also have words (well, emojis) for #DressLikeAWoman.

Of course, celebrities aren’t the only ones to speak out against sexist nonsense.

These are women. false

And here’s another one.

Abbi Jacobson recently spoke to The Daily Beast about the importance of speaking out about sexism:

“I definitely feel it’s very important as a person to continue to make things with my own point of view, and reflect the things that I believe in that the new president clearly does not."

She continued:

"I’m so happy we’re on TV right now...What a luxury it is to have a voice to get to talk about the things we want to talk about on that scale, in a time when they need to be talked about. And through comedy. What more could you ask for? It’s so important.

We agree. It’s never been more important to speak out against nonsense of all kinds.
