Move over, groom, this bride and dad dance is going viral because it’s purely EPIC
It’s pretty hard not to love weddings. Between the vows, the free food, the drinks, the cake, the love, and the dancing, weddings are a great way to spend a few hours. But the best part of any nuptials will always be the epic dance performed by the bride and her dad.
Of course, not all weddings offer such a beautiful spectacle. But when they do, things turn epic very quickly.
Mikayla Ellison Phillips and her dad Nathan Ellison stopped their traditional father-daughter dance halfway through the song. When the music kicked back in, they whipped out some seriously incredible choreographed moves. And of course, the video of the dance has since gone viral.
Phillips and Cody Phillips got married last month in Utah, and their wedding looks like it was an absolute blast. The father-daughter dance started out to Bob Carlisle’s “Butterfly Kisses.” Then a scratch on a record is heard, and the pair busted out their sunglasses and their MC Hammer moves in front of 400 of her closest friends and family members in attendance.

In an interview with ABC News, Phillips said that the dance was completely her dad’s idea.
"I’m the oldest and the only girl so that was my dad’s only chance to do something like this, she said. “He for years has talked about doing that and he finally convinced me.
She also explained that she’s a trained dancer who met her husband as dance partners on the International Folk Dance Ensemble at Brigham Young University.
“I’ve danced my whole life but my dad hasn’t, Phillips said of her dad, who works in sales and computer technology.
After seeing his sweet moves, we definitely thought he had been dancing forever.
"The most fun thing was seeing my dad and how happy he was, Phillips said. “That was a dream fulfilled.
Congratulations to the happy Phillips on her marriage and one unforgettable dance.
