This bride had no girlfriends, so naturally, she did a “bridesmaids” shoot with her college bros
Imagine you’re a female computer engineering student. There are only four other girls in your class of about 60, so you naturally make friends with a bunch of dudes. Then, you and your boyfriend get engaged. Yay! Love. But when you start planning out the details of the shindig, you realize you have a problem: you need bridesmaids. Hmm. You could just opt out of having bridesmaids and/or groomsmen altogether, OR you could do what 24-year-old Rebeca Brantes did and enlist your best dude friends to be your bridesmaids in an epic bridal shoot.
Who says bridesmaids have to be gals?

Brantes, who is from Brazil, tells Bored Panda, “I came up with the idea one week before the wedding. I was looking into some ‘making of’ pictures of brides with their gang of girls, all in robes, laughing, drinking champagne and all, and I got a bit sad because I wouldn’t be able to do anything like that.”

It looks like they had a blast, and apparently, the photos don’t lie. Rebecca says, “The photoshoot was super fun. Everyone was taking shots of cheap booze and sometimes we were laughing so much that we had to take some time to recover and go on with the photos.”
We love that these guys were game to rock the little pink silk robes! Amazing!

She also told Bored Panda that it has been a bit weird to see her face all over the internet: “I am very happy with the photos. Sometimes I look at them and find myself laughing like crazy. But I never imagined this would become so viral”.
We can’t imagine! It looks like she’s embracing her fame, though. Her Instagram bio now reads, “Computer Engineering Student | Traveler | In love ❤️ | new: ‘the bride with no girlfriends’ ?.”
