Brendan Fraser is coming to TV and TBH, this is important

It feels like it has been AGES since Brendan Fraser graced our screens (Bedazzled anyone?!) but he’s about to make a splash back into the big-time with a new project that sounds really, really good.

Variety reports that Fraser has nabbed the lead role in the upcoming FX series Trust, which tells the story of oil heir John Getty III’s kidnapping, and his family’s quest to get their son back. Fraser will play J. Paul Getty’s investigator, alongside a seriously top-notch cast and crew, including Donald Sutherland, Hillary Swank, and Academy-award winning director Danny Boyle.

It’s apparently going to be a “family history, dynastic saga and examination of the corrosive power of money” all rolled into one.

This is especially good news for the more than 46,000 Fraser fans (!!) who signed a petition last year asking major networks like Starz, Netflix and HBO to consider casting the actor in their upcoming productions.

Just check out the message posted today on the petition’s homepage, after Fraser’s casting news was announced:

"Fraserheads around the world are ecstatic that our guy is finally coming back to our living rooms. Revel in the fact that this is actually happening, but the work is really only JUST beginning."

Congratulations, Fraserheads! A well-deserved win.
