‘Breaking Bad’ fans are throwing pizza at Walt’s house and it’s a problem

We knew ride-or-die Breaking Bad fans were a special breed of TV devotees, and we respected their passion for the rise and fall of Walter White. But apparently, some superfans are going a little too far with the tributes. According to Vince Gilligan, the creator of the sorely missed series, fans have been getting too comfortable outside of Walt’s place—a New Mexico house, which actually belongs to a real, live person.

The home has become such a tourist attraction that fans have started throwing pizzas onto the roof in an attempt to reenact a scene from season 3, in which White does exactly that, The woman who owns the house IRL hasn’t had an issue with fans taking photos or posing for selfies in front of her place, but the whole pizza thing is probably becoming kind of a mess.

Thankfully, Gilligan stopped by the Better Call Saul podcast to remind fans that the house still belongs to, you know, an actual person, and to chill out with the pizza.

“Let me tell you, there is nothing original or funny or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof,” Gilligan said. “It’s just not funny, it’s been done before. You are not the first.”

Mike Ehrmantraut’s alter-ego Jonathan Banks joined Gillian on the podcast, and added that he’d “hunt down” anyone tossing ‘za at the house “because it’s not cool…you don’t treat people that way.”

We totally sympathize with the owner of Walt’s house, and we’re pretty sure cleaning pizza out of your gutters is probably a real pain. So can we cool it with the pizza-tossing, Breaking Bad fans? You don’t want Mike Ehrmantraut after you.
